Part of implementing a Statewide Transportation Plan requires involving the public in the process of crafting the Plan as well as gaining invaluable feedback throughout the entire planning process.
While this website is one element of the Public Involvement Plan, there are a variety of other ways the HSTP Team will encourage public participation:
□ Stakeholder workshops
□ Meetings with the Sub-Statewide Transportation Advisory
Committee (Sub-STAC), made up of agency, department, division and branch
representatives from the State and Counties
□ Public informational meetings in each county, coordinated with each
county’s long range land transportation plan
□ Conducting a Statewide Public Opinion Survey to gather information on
people's travel patterns as well as their opinions about various modes of
travel on land, air and sea
