The Hawaii Statewide Transportation Plan, or HSTP,
provides for the development and integrated management and operation of
transportation systems and facilities that will function as an intermodal
transportation system for the state. This means the HSTP includes and integrates
elements of airports, harbors, highways, public transit, pedestrian walkways and
bicycle transportation facilities in our island home.
The first statewide plan was written in 1961, with the most recent plan finished in 2002. This website will chronicle the process as well as the plan for the 2010 Hawaii Statewide Transportation Plan. To see previous plans, please click on the links above.
